A tracker you put together yourself

Tapiko is a personal list of what you have read, watched and played. Unlike trackers with a fixed set of types, here you decide what to record and how: you create a collection template, add the fields you need, and then keep entries based on that template.

The app is currently in development. Below is what has been built so far.

What the app can already do

  • Your own templates. Each collection has its own name, icon, colour and set of fields. Starter templates are included: Books, Films, Games and Series.
  • Fields that fit your collection. Text and long text, number, star rating in half-star steps, date, yes/no, pick from a list, link, picture, icon, progress, counter, price and duration.
  • Statuses with your own names. For example, "Want to read / Reading / Read / Dropped". When an entry is marked as finished, the finish date is set automatically.
  • Cards with covers. Entries are shown as cards: a cover in the background, the title, status, rating and the fields you chose to put on the card.
  • Search and order. Search, filters by status and icon, sorting, and a quick status change right from the list.
  • List or tiles. The home screen shows your collections whichever way you prefer.

Autofill

So that you do not have to type everything by hand, Tapiko can pull in details by title:

  • games - from Steam: cover, developer, publisher, genres, release date, description;
  • films, series and cartoons - from TMDB: cover, year, director, runtime, seasons and episodes, genres, cast, description.

Autofill stays off until you turn it on in the settings: while searching, the title you type is sent to the corresponding service. Anything you have entered yourself is never overwritten.

Your data stays in your iCloud

Tapiko has no sign-up and no server of its own. Your library syncs between your devices through the private iCloud database of your Apple account. The developer cannot see this data. Sync can be turned off in the settings - the app then works locally, on the device only.

What you need

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later.
  • An iCloud account - only if you want sync between devices.
  • The interface is in Ukrainian only for now.

What comes next

Tapiko is not on the App Store yet. Ahead are the release, library export and further polish. Have an idea or a request? Write to bridges@bridges.net.ua.
